What a TERRIFIC first week!

We set out from Houston on Saturday, August 25th flying from Houston to Newark, New Jersey, to Munich, Germany; and finally to Cairo, Egypt.  The flight into Munich was over 2 hours late and we RAN to the gate to barely catch the flight to Cairo.  However, on arrival into Egypt, Carol's luggage was there, but Russ' was not.  Today, nearly one week later, they FINALLY located Russ' bag and plan to get it to us in the next 2 days or so. PRAISE GOD!!!
Our days in Egypt were very interesting and packed with activities! Tonight we are spending the night in Jordan, our first hotel with free internet.  Last night was a most AMAZING experience.  We arrived in St. Catherine, of the Sinai peninsula after nearly 14 hours on the road.  We ate dinner and got to bed just after 10 pm with a wake-up call at 1:30 am.  We climbed Mount Sinai!  It was a most amazing experience to climb where Moses had been and where God revealed Himself to him.  We arrived at the top after about 3 hours of rigorous climbing to see the sunrise from the summit.  Tonight, Friday night, it is just after 10 pm here and we are EXHAUSTED!  I thought I would put out a short post with a picture test just to let you know we arrived, we are safe and plan to add details on the blog when possible.

We spent a couple of days in Luxor.
